Dog Boarding

Your dogs can play while you are away!

Can’t take your dog on vacation with you?  Send him to “camp”, where he can have as much fun groups of dogs at the Dog boarding kennel in Santa Rosa, also providing dog daycare / doggie daycare.as you, while you are gone.

Dogs are natural pack animals.  They like to be in groups.  Group play provides exercise, interaction with other dogs, mental stimulation, socialization, and a chance to spend fun time with other canines.  A happy, healthy dog needs this type of activity.

Group Play has the following benefits for your dog:

  • natural exercise
  • burns extra energy
  • keeps them agile and flexible
  • socialization; dogs learn how to handle interactions with other dog personalities.
  • allows dogs to be part of the natural pack environment
  • provides mental stimulation
  • meet new pack members and get to know them.

Dog “parents” are normally outgoing, active people.  They also have professional lives.  Business trips, weddings, social events, all these can cause your dog to be left alone.  Instead, why not bring him to “camp”, where he can spend time with dog friends, and get lots of loving from our staff?

Then there are situations, besides travel, that might require a temporary safe haven away from home for your dog.  Are you:

  • remodeling?
  • spring cleaning?
  • showing a home for sale?
  • having an exterminator visit?
  • having a party or event?
  • expecting visitors who might have pet allergies?

Peace of mind is knowing your dog is enjoying himself while you can’t be together at home.

Dog Screening/Testing

At Anderson Acres, all dogs for boarding are carefully screened to ensure the safety of group play areas and staff.  For screening, dogs and their owners are interviewed, and dogs are introduced to a few dogs of different temperament to see how they handle themselves.

Dogs can be like children.  Even with the most careful screening the occasional squabble will occur.  We take every reasonable precaution to prevent the rare squabble, but the risk of injury does exist.

We do not accept aggressive or non-social dogs.  For the safety of all animals and associates, and at the discretion of Anderson Acres, some pets may not be permitted.

Please call 707-588-8494 to arrange a screening, prior to scheduling your dog’s first boarding visit.

Courtesy Bath

Dogs don’t pay any attention to dirt.  That means when they play, they get dirty.  For this reason, dogs staying 2-nights or more, get a courtesy bath* before they leave for home.  This includes a nail trim, ear cleaning, eye check, brushing for long-haired dogs, and a soap and water bath*.

Dog baths are at an additional fee for dogs in daycare / doggie daycare.

Call us today at 707-588-8494 with questions or to make your reservations.

Then your dog will play while you are away.

* Please note: We specialize in happy boarding for dogs.  We are not a grooming service.  If a dog comes in with mats we will not be able to bathe them, as their mats will only get worse. As long as your long -haired dog is well brushed or groomed before they come to camp, we will keep them brushed to prevent mats while they are here. Our cleaning services will make sure they are smelling great and looking as good, or better, when they go home.
