Buck and Scout

Buck, the Yellow Lab, has been coming to Anderson Acres since he was four years old in 2000. He is a sweet old guy now who loves to help the counselors prepare the dog food and relax in our senior lounge. In 2007 Buck got a little brother who keeps him on his feet. 
Scout is a Norwich Terrier who landed in Bucks parents lap by chance. He has brought some spunk back to Bucks life. Scout enjoys playing with all the little dogs especially his cousin Oliver (as seen in the last picture.)
Buck and Scout love each other very much even at home they take naps together (look at the second picture.) We are always happy to see them come and they are always happy to stay and have fun at camp.



Basset family update

Holly and Homer, the Basset Hounds, have had quite a change in their family. Their parents decided to rescue another Basset named Chompers in August 2007. Chompers fit in the family perfectly. She is not too playful for Holly and is able to get Homer to get up and run around with her I the play yards. For a year she has melted into the Basset family easily.

If three seems to be a crowd well four might be considered too crowded. Not for the Basset Clan, they fostered then adopted Chelsea in August 2008. She came to them with one eye and later had to have the other one removed. Although she is obviously blind she has fit right in. Chelsea is laid back like Holly but becoming a bit more adventurous.
